Our Families 2011

This past year has been a year of many many changes in our little family. Jam packed of fun, smiles, hardly any time, and new adventures. Here are some of the biggest things that happened in our family this year. Since our girls were born at the end of November in 2010, the end of 2010 was relatively mild compared to 2011. Our girls have done most of their growing in 2011 and let me tell you, they have learned a lot! Trevor also switched professions and is now working for the City of Henderson. We bought our first home and we are still trying to settle in (a.k.a put things away.)

 Here are some picture highlights.

For New Years 2011 we headed up to Salt Lake, in attempts to see the lights at Temple Square. This attempt failed miserably because the storms were too bad and we didn't want to take out little babies out in the bitter cold. Although, it was still their first road trip!!!

Oatmeal

As some of you know these last 2 weeks we started giving the girls cereal. Well, most of you probably don’t know that this has been an adventure. Last week I started the cereal out pretty running, just like the box suggest making the transition between milk and cereal a little easier. I also would stop shortly after they started to cry, sometimes it would be almost instantly and other times we got a good few minutes of good cereal feeding. This week, however, we made the cereal thicker and instead of stopping when they cry I just keep feeding them. Now if you ask me if this is working I wouldn’t know what to tell you. Yesterday they seemed to do pretty well with it and then today was basically a disaster. They are supposed to catch on to this spoon feeding stuff right? I waited for all the things they tell you to. The babies seemed interested in our food, they sit up with support, they opened their mouths to the spoon, they turn their heads when they are finished eating. I guess this is just trying my patience and making me wonder if I am doing it correctly.  I am just hoping that this will get easier.
On the bright side their messy faces make for cute pictures!!!

Updates from a few weeks ago

Yesterday I had one of my many doctor’s appointments but everything went well. First of all I mastered the peeing in the cup thing thanks to my sister in law’s advice. Everyone told me all I had to do was read the directions on the bathroom door, but the only problem is…… there are no directions in the bathroom. So my sister in law Cindy told me to tip the cup and woohoo it worked like a charm. This was pretty exciting for me!!! The doctor also told us that both babies are head down, which means as of right now I don’t have to have a c-section. I was really freaked out about the idea of being cut open, although I can’t say that the idea of a natural birth is any less freaky!!! J So my doctor says one more week under my belt, which will be week 28 (7 Months), and he’s going to let me go into labor whenever it happens but he’ll probably try and stop it if it’s before week 32. After that, as far as he’s concerned, anytime is good, but he is thinking we will have babies by week 34 or so. So it’s coming way faster than I think I was prepared for but I’m so excited to meet them!!!
Update on our apartment!!!
