Our Anniversary Weekend

I'm playing catch up today!!! Trevor and I have been married a year August 15th, woohoo!!! It has been one eventful year but has really made us grow together as a couple. So for anniversary we kinda spread it out over the whole weekend. I had been bugging Trevor to take me to raising canes for a while now, so he surprised me and when we were out running errands on Saturday he took me to raising canes.
This last pic is kinda an inside joke so if you know anything about the gregory story this may make sense to you!!! If not you have to know who I'm talking about to get it. Next on Sunday I made chocolate covered strawberries and we drank some "bubbly," strawberry cider and an apple cranberry cider. I decided it would be our tradition since a good friend of ours made beautiful chocolate covered strawberries and a box was saved for just Trevor and I along with some cider and these champagne glasses that a friend was getting rid of and gave to us, on our wedding night!!! So here are mine ............. The first few that look absolutely horrible are because I cut the hole in the baggie WAY too big so I remelted chocolate and cut a tinnie tiny little hole for decorating......... but the still weren't as pretty as Lacey Blakes from my wedding, which are the ones below As soon as the chocolate had re hardened I put them in the heart shaped dish and we had strawberries and cider and then went to sleep!!! It was fabulous!!! On Monday we got tickects to the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur Casino! We were planning on going to the 6:30 show but I was running a little late so we ended up going to the 8:30 show, but we had A LOT of time to kill. So we headed to the arcade and I pretty much kicked Trevor's butt at air hockey.......... well he won both games but I put up a REALLY good fight. Then Trevor found a hunting game that killed lots of time and satisfied part of his recent urges to shoot guns. Then we finally made it into the show and as I predicted Trevor loved it, he was all into the show but I think his favorite part was eating dinner with his hands!!! I LOVE my hubby!!! I know all these pictures are "great" quality, we decided we need to invest in a small camera because I only have my big Nikon and so these were all taken with our phones! Photobucket

  2. Good to know!!! I never believed that the first year could be so hard till it got hard!!! Ha ha. Anyone who says marriage is a breeze is crazy, its HARD work but it is soooo worth it!!! I love the tournament of kings too, especially when I sit next to people who have never been and they say "where are the utensils!" and then i laugh and say "there are NONE!" pure awesomeness!!!
