My mind has been heavy on the teachings from General Conference so many things the spirit just testified to me of their importance in my life. I was seriously touched this session but I think that was because I really wanted to learn something so my heart was open. The only session I happened to miss was the very last session on Sunday and that was because we went over to families house and there was just a lot going on but I have made it a point to catch up on what I missed. This was one talk I caught up on that hit me particularly, it was Richard G. Scott: The Eternal Blessings of Marriage
“Two of the vital pillars that sustain Father in Heaven’s plan of happiness are marriage and the family. Their lofty significance is underscored by Satan’s relentless efforts to splinter the family and to undermine the significance of temple ordinances, which bind the family together for eternity. The temple sealing has greater meaning as life unfolds. It will help you draw ever closer together and find greater joy and fulfillment in mortality. “
This is just a part of it. If you have not heard/ read this one you should it is really good.
I’m so grateful to have an eternal family, that knowledge is powerful and comforting to me. Marriage has not always been a walk in the park for Trevor and I but I love him so much. He is a wonderful husband and father. He listens to me more intently than any man ever has, which is pretty hefty considering I ramble and sometimes don’t make a lot of sense. I have a habit of watching romance movies more than is probably healthy and every time I hear the actors proclaim their love until death (which happens a lot) I am grateful that my love is eternal for my husband, family and children.
